Welcome to MetaHIT website
MetaHIT is a project financed by the European Commission under the 7th FP program. The consortium gathers 13 partners from academia and industry, a total of 8 countries. Its total cost has been evaluated at more than 21,2 million € and the funding requested from the European Commission has been set with an upper limit of 11,4 million €. The project will last from January 1, 2008 until June 30, 2012.

June 1st, 2011 The next International Human Microbiome Congress organized by MetaHIT will take place in Paris, 19-21 March 2012, at the Palais Brongniart. Information about registrations, program, logistics, abstract submission will be soon available on this website.
April 27, 2011 MetaHIT meets Industrial Stakeholders in Milano.
April 20, 2011 The MetaHIT Consortium is proud to present its Nature paper on Enterotypes (MetaHIT press release). Congratulations everyone for the fruitful collaboration!
March 16, 2011 - Outreach updates:
Video clip presenting the MetaHIT project will air on ARTE's scientific show x:enius on April 18th at 8:35am and 5:45pm.
Also project Coordinator, Dusko Ehrlich, interviewed during IHM Congress will air March 20th on Radio Canada and will then be available on radio's website
